Why advertise with Holidirect.com?

We believe in one to one contact, but it can be a difficult, not to mention expensive, task to market your property alone. When you advertise with Holidirect you have total control of your advert - you can make changes to your property details, photos, pricing and availability online at anytime - but you also benefit from our investment in international marketing, both online and in traditional print and media marketing.

A large search engine optimised site like Holidirect will attract far more attention from potential guests than a smaller personal website and at £50 (€60) per year, or 5% commission per booking offers great value for money!

We can accept payments in any currency using our partner TransferWise.

What do you get when you advertise with Holidirect.com?

For each property you advertise on Holidirect.com you get an individual full colour webpage advertisement, including up to 24 photographs to showcase your property. You can include an unlimited text description, a list of your property features and facilities, your prices and an availability calender. There is a contact form on your individual property page so that booking enquiries can be forwarded directly to your email address. Any enquiries can be changed into a confirmed booking and the system will automatically update your availability calendar.

Advertisers/owners create their own Holidirect account, input their property details and can make changes to their page whenever they want, and as often as they want.

Do guests pay me (the owner) directly?

Yes, when you opt for the Annual Fee listing a potential guest completes the reservation request form on your property page, and you will receive email notification. All the guest contact details will be included - name, email, phone number - plus the required arrival and departure dates and any notes/message. You deal directly with the guest from the start.

If however you opt for the 'pay-per-booking' based listing a potential guest completes the reservation request form on your property page and Holidirect receive email notification. Holidirect will then contact you to confirm availability and price with you, and get back to the potential guest on your behalf. If both parties (you and your guest) agree the booking, Holidirect will then take your specified deposit amount, deduct our commission and immediately transfer the remaining deposit amount to your chosen account. At this time ALL of the guest contact details will be sent to you via email - name, email, phone number, plus the arrival and departure dates and any notes/message. You then deal directly with the guest from now on.

How much is it to advertise on Holidirect.com?

We offer 2 different packages allowing you to choose the advertising option to suit your needs.

A PAY-PER-BOOKING listing on a commission-only basis. NO BOOKINGS - NO FEES!
When you receive a paid booking, Holidirect collects 5% commission from your booking deposit and the remainder of your payment is sent directly and securely to your account.

or

ANNUAL FEE a single payment per year. PAY NO COMMISSION!
List your property with us for a one-off yearly fee of £50 (€60) and when you receive your bookings there are NO FEES to pay. All payments are dealt with directly by you.

We can accept payments in any currency using our partner TransferWise.

Do you offer a discount if I list multiple properties?

If you have 5 or more properties that you would like to list within your owner account on Holidirect we can offer special rates.

PAY-PER-BOOKING - Pay just 4% commission per booking when you list 5 or more properties.

ANNUAL FEE LISTING - List 5 or more properties for just £40/€50 per listing per year.

If you don't have the time to input multiple property listings yourself we are happy to do it on your behalf for just £7 (€9) per property.

How do I list my Holiday Home?

Step 1 - Create your Holidirect account.
Step 2 - Login to your account and Click 'ADD a new property'
Step 3 - Choose your Property Type, and then select your PAYMENT PLAN. You will be directed to pay via PayPal or Bank Transfer.
Step 4 - Create your listing, completing all sections to show guests everything your property has to offer - make sure you 'Save' each section. Don't forget the Availability section which is situated in the left menu. It will take you about 30 minutes to add your holiday home.
Step 5 - Submit your property for approval.

Our Customer service team will then verify your property and publish it within one working day. We will advise you once the property is published, or if we need any further information before we can activate your listing. Once your property is activated, we would recommend that you review it to ensure that all the details are as accurate as possible.

If you need any assistance during the process we are more than happy to help. You can ask us for assistance at any time using the Need Help button on the left menu of your dashboard, or the contact us page on the website.

If you would like us to create an account and list your property on your behalf we are more than happy to do so. We charge £10 (€12.50) per listing, or for 5 or more listings the charge is £7 (€9) per listing.

Can I show my prices in more than one currency?

When listing your property you have a choice to use Euro's or GBP, but not both.

Do I have to display my property availability?

The availability calendar shows on all property listings, but you don't have to complete it. You can include a note within your listing informing potential guests that your calendar is not complete, and to ask them to enquire about up to date availability if you wish.

We suggest you DO keep your availability calendar on Holidirect up to date though. It will stop you receiving booking requests for periods you are already booked and will avoid potential guests being disappointed when their chosen property looks available but isn't.

How will holiday makers contact me?

Guests contact you via the reservation request form on your property listing. We do not publish your contact details on the website.
